Hey, people who Chief!

There is plenty to feel stressed about right now. It was already hard before, but since COVID-19 turned into a pandemic, we – and the whole world – have many more reasons to be preoccupied.

People are losing their jobs and have no idea when they’ll get a new one. Children are stuck at home due to mandatory school closing. Our parents and grandparents are at severe life risk. And we are not able to do much – we can stay at home and avoid spreading the virus.

Stress is justified, but the sum of social isolation, plus all our present fears can make it unbearable. A way to keep going in stressful days is CBD, especially in the form of hemp smokes.

We aim to explain to you about stress and how you can use CBD to manage it. Also, we’ll give y’all some tips to deal with stress in quarantine. It’s about working in your favor to live a healthier life 💚

Handling stress

quarantine

Stress is more than dealing with bad traffic or having an awful boss, man.

There is a difference between going through stressful moments and suffering from chronic stress. As for the first, well, we are humans. We get angry, we feel anxious, and it is all part of life.

Stress is a natural reaction to events that happen in our lives – and may even be healthy when it occurs immediately and short term. In our brains, whenever we go through a moment of stress, our hypothalamus releases adrenaline and cortisol. They result in the symptoms we feel, such as an increased heartbeat and breathing.

The problem begins when stress becomes ongoing. When you live long-term stress, you may also suffer from mental illnesses, cardiovascular diseases, obesity, menstrual problems, sexual dysfunction, and so on.

Job pressure, lack of money, health issues… These are some of the most common causes of stress among Americans. Since most reasons are part of our daily lives, it gets impossible to avoid them.

It takes approximately 90 minutes for the metabolism to come back to normal after the stress is over. That’s why one of those moments can ruin our day and productivity.

To deal with stress, some people breathe slowly, take a pill, or smoke a cig. But we recommend you take CBD, and here is why.

How can CBD help me handle stress?

Cannabidiol (CBD) is a compound found in Cannabis plants that provides relaxing effects. And, no, it doesn’t get people high (that’s THC’s job – a compound we have already talked about on this blog).

It can help you deal with stress because once it is in your body, it interacts with the CB1 and CB2 receptors found in the central nervous system and the peripheral nervous system, altering levels of serotonin. In simpler terms, relieving stress, anxiety, and providing a ton of health benefits.

CBD is an excellent alternative to painkillers because it doesn’t contain harmful chemicals as opioids to offer calming and anti-inflammatory effects. It’s an all-natural and distinctive solution to dealing with stress.

Believe us, your nose will know. If the scent of a particular hemp flower makes you feel nice, it will probably be useful to you. It is essential to be clear, though: terpenes won’t get you high, THC is responsible for that. But they might alter the way your body reacts to cannabinoids.

Whenever you feel too stressed or anxious, a little CBD may be enough to help you keep going. You can take it as oil, tinctures, capsules, or vaping. But, for real, our expertise is hemp smokes.

Hemp smokes: a tip for instant relaxation

Hemp smokes are made from the hemp plant – obviously. But that is an important fact, because hemp is legal at federal state (since the 2018 Farm Bill), containing only up to 0.3% of THC, an amount so little that won’t get you high.

Our Chief Stix is an all-natural alternative to tobacco cigarettes. They provide consumers with an experience free of tobacco, nicotine, and additives that is made with nothing but natural American sun-grown organic hemp rich in phytocannabinoids and terpenes.

We use a strain called Suver Haze to make our smokes, which has high concentrations of CBD. Its terpenes profile is myrcene, farnesene, and caryophyllene, resulting in a relaxing earthy and herbal taste.

In stressful times, hemp smokes are a better alternative to tobacco cigarettes, as they have no nicotine or additives. But to live a more chilling life, we have got some other tips.

Well, we are all tense due to quarantine and hope we can help you go through this thoroughly. Take a look at the advice below to handle stress during social isolation.

Six tips for handling stress in quarantine (beyond CBD):

Take a break from the news

A study claims that 56% of people say staying informed is a cause of stress. Also, there are more than five billion smartphones in the world. That means more people than ever spreading information – and, sometimes, fake ones. So, choose reliable sources of news and take a break from time to time

Establish a routine

You are at home with tons of distractions like on-demand streaming, TV, and your bed. We are not asking for ultra productivity, but having an organized routine might help you feel useful. Use this moment to take a notebook and list all the things you should and wish to do daily.

Do  therapy, and yes, it can be online

Talking cures us – for real. In times of quarantine, don’t quit your therapist if you can. Beyond guaranteeing this fantastic human being’s job, you should keep your treatment during uncertain times. If you don’t do therapy yet, you can look out for apps that connect therapists  to people online and find sessions that fit your budget.

Spend time with people you love (online too)

A study led by Newcastle University states that loneliness raises levels of stress, impedes sleep, and in turn, harms the body. Maybe it’s time to call that friend who lives alone or your grandparents. Being alone can nurture feelings of rejection, so stay in touch with who matters to you.

Have a creative hobby

Painting, drawing, writing, and so much more. Use the extra to make the ideas flow. If you are not the artist type, it may be the right moment to read a book that is carrying dust on the shelf, or learning to cook your favorite while you can’t go out.

Meditate

Meditation is a great technique to relax and to focus. Try it when you wake up or before sleeping. Several guided meditation apps can help you develop the ability to control your mind.

Rolling it all up

Stress is everywhere, yes. We’re going through hard times, and it is not cool to put so much pressure on our backs. But we can handle it together with CBD, hemp smokes, and extra care for our mental health.
